Judson to Host an Overnight Preview Day

October 10, 2019

Judson University will host the first Preview Day event of the school year on Sunday, Oct. 13, to Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 14. This overnight Preview Day will give prospective students the chance to connect with staff, faculty and students and envision themselves as members of the Judson community.

Prospective students who attend will spend Sunday night with current students and experience Judson dorm life and a host of well-planned activities. On Monday, students will tour the 90-acre campus and participate in meet-and-greet sessions with students and faculty, dine in Judson’s newly renovated dining hall, attend chapel and experience everyday campus life.

Monday’s chapel speaker will be vocalist, author and speaker Mattie Montgomery. For more than a decade, Montgomery was the lead vocalist for the hard core Christian band, For Today. While with the group, he was involved with the production of five albums. On his own, he produced at least two. He is also the author of “Lovely Things in Ugly Places” (Mattie Montgomery Ministries, 2016) and “Scary God: Introducing The Fear of the Lord to the Post-Modern Church” (Thomas Nelson, 2018).

Moreover, this vocalist-turned-evangelist is the founder and president of Awakening Evangelism, a ministry that provides instruction and support for people who want to grow in their ability to share the Gospel and advance the Kingdom “fearlessly.”
